I think many of you know that we are in the midst of building at Visual Roots. Yes, we are awake at 7:00 am when the trucks come rumbling down our street or the machines start up.  (note to self to make the neighbour’s cookies as a Thank you for putting up with all the early mornings!) It’s so exciting to be expanding and just the thought of having more space for business and family makes me jump for joy.  We had many obstacles to work around such as our large trees and cute tree house but its all been working out well and the trucks and machines seem to have room to maneuver.
This process started about 5 years ago with a dream to have more space to serve our customers. Like many things it was talked about a lot but we weren’t quite ready to jump in with both feet. We planned and planned some more and then it seemed the time was right. Our kids are only getting older as we are reminded daily by their many accomplishments and independence. With that we needed a change, to make our home more “just home” instead of a shared workspace.  We have been photographing the journey from day one and will be sharing it with you over the next several months.
Below is the footings being poured by the concrete truck.  Our neighbours little boys had deckside seats watching the truck and waving to the men working. They were even wearing their hard hats.
